Lainy Gold’s Swimwear in FADDY Magazine 2021

Now featuring Lainy Gold’s Mango Beach Swimwear in FADDY Magazine’s photo editorial 2021. The location shoot was in Florida with photographer Eugene Manning and model Cassandra Klein.

In the 1950’s and 60’s, plastics were used for everyday household materials. Who would have thought that plastics can be incorporated into a fashion apparel. Plastic started becoming a core part of the fabrics in our clothes from the 1950s when polyester was introduced into men’s suits by chemical company DuPont.

Plastic World is reminiscent of the 60’s inspired retro look.

Mattel’s famous Barbie fashion dolls comes to mind. Mattel has sold over a billion Barbie dolls, making it the company’s largest and most profitable line. Fashion during the 1960’s included plastic clothing such as PVC  miniskirts and PVC raincoats.
